Role: Regional Marketing Executive

Location: An external role covering Yorkshire, the North East and the Central Belt of Scotland

Sector: Builders Merchants / Construction Supplies

Package: £34,000 – £38,000 (dependent on experience) + Car. Mon – Fri Only and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

This is a great role for the right person. Please read the following carefully to ensure it could be the right role for you but also please make sure you fulfil the requirements of what they are looking for to avoid applying and then potential disappointment.

Whilst visiting 19 of the company’s branches, you will enhance awareness within the branches of the power of social media and digital marketing campaigns. Basically assisting them in anyway to maintain maximum profitability at all times. You will also help them with specific promotions, branch campaigns and come up with strategies to sell excess stock if this exists. The branches own website will also be monitored by yourself to make sure it is operating at it’s best. You may also help with trade days held at the branches at various times…

First of all, you must have, marketing and social media experience in a sector that is relevant to the builders merchants world. You must have also had some kind of external aspect to your previous or current role as a lot of travelling is involved with this position and they will be nights away for which the expenses are obviously covered.

As workplaces go, these branches are fun places to be. Personality is required to fit in and engage with the staff on site. Good communication skills are also required so you know your target audience has got the message!

You are helping the branches and this is understood by the whole branch network but at the same time there could be a lack of understanding of some members of staff and this needs to be rectified so they are on-board with any future changes.

This is not a sales role and therefore it is not targeted. The real beauty of this role though is that just through modern digital marketing and social media methods, you will be able to have a significant effect on the profitability of the branches in your patch.

So, as already mentioned you must have:-

– Social Media content creating experience

– Digital Marketing experience

– Some travelling aspect to your previous role(s)

– Amiable character traits to ensure you can engage your colleagues
