Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 (Negotiable Depending on Experience) + Bonus

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Plumbing and Heating Manager to join a great company who is expanding their plumbing, heating and bathroom side of the business. The successful candidate will help grow this vital income stream as the company has done in many other locations which it serves.

You will oversee the plumbing and heating trade counter so you will need to have some form of supervisory experience but there will also be a sales focus so sales experience is also a must-have item.

You will have a good degree of autonomy in the running of the department and creative input will be welcomed.

This is a business that prides itself on good customer service and remember you only get one chance to make a good first impression. Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach are both absolutely necessary alongside good communications skills too. You will run a department that mostly assists the trade but there will also be retail customers too so you must be able to demonstrate that you are good with people from all walks of life…

We need someone who isn’t going to just sit and wait for the business to walk in. We need someone who wants to grab the work and speak to people. You will be rewarded for your efforts by an excellent bonus scheme. You will interact with customers face to face, over the phone and by email by. Asking questions, finding about the projects the clients are working on, taking quotation enquiries, developing rapport with these people and upselling where possible. You will need to be able to think on your feet and ideally demonstrate sound knowledge when called upon.

We need to find someone who will take ownership of this department and come into the role with the right degree of professionalism.
