At GCS Associates, sustainability is important to us. That’s why we recently partnered with environmental charity Make It Wild for a meaningful Tree Planting and Conservation Day in the Peak District – an experience that not only grounded us in nature but also inspired our latest industry initiative.
A Day of Conservation and Commitment
Set in the heart of the Peak District, our team joined Make It Wild to plant native tree species and support habitat restoration projects that are helping to rebuild local biodiversity. The day included:
-
🌳 Planting native trees such as oak, birch, and hazel
-
🌿 Hands-on conservation tasks like clearing invasive species
-
🐝 Learning about rewilding, sustainability, and pollinator habitats
-
🤝 Genuine team connection in a natural setting
It was a powerful reminder of the role we all play, both personally and professionally, in protecting the planet.
From the Ground Up: Linking Industry Insight to Environmental Action
Inspired by this experience, we’re proud to announce that our tree-planting efforts will continue into 2025—this time through our upcoming industry research initiative:
🌱 GCS Associates Construction Supplies Market Insight Survey 2025
In partnership with Builders’ Merchant News, GCS Associates is producing a comprehensive Market Insight Report focused on the construction supplies sector. This survey will explore:
-
Current industry challenges
-
Recruitment trends
-
Market outlook and business confidence

And here’s the best part:
👉 For every completed survey response, GCS Associates will plant one tree. So, by contributing your industry insight, you’re also contributing to a healthier planet.
Looking Ahead
The day with Make It Wild was more than just an event – it was a turning point in how we align our business goals with meaningful environmental impact. We’re excited to grow this initiative throughout 2025 and beyond.
A huge thank you to the Make It Wild team for their leadership and inspiration. We look forward to deepening our environmental partnerships and continuing to lead with purpose.
